A&V supports students at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences once again

In October 2020, Ahlers & Vogel had already supported the students at the Department of Maritime Studies and Maritime Sciences at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences with the “Basic Texts on Maritime Law”. At that time, a fire in the publishing house’s premises had destroyed the books that had been the basis for the students’ work until then.

This collection of texts, now in its second edition, was compiled by the law firm itself and contains, among other things, regulations on maritime trade law, ship safety and marine environmental protection. The book thus constitutes a compilation that is not commercially available, which makes it an important working tool for students. Not surprisingly, the 200 copies made available at the time have been distributed to the students by now.

As a law firm with one of its main focuses on shipping and transport law, we are particularly keen to ensure that the next generation of logistics and shipping managers are well equipped for practice.

Prof. Dr Mathias Münchau, who supervises aspects of maritime law at the university, was therefore pleased to now be able to provide further copies in the library.
