In B2C situations caution is required when selling goods online, especially if the purchaser is located abroad. In such a case, the consumer protection regulations of the country in which the buyer resides must be observed. In case of non-compliance, the seller may be exposed to dangers such as fines.

To avoid this, it is advisable to take special care when drafting general terms and conditions for B2C online trading.
