Tammo Schwerdt studied law in Kiel, Bergen (Norway) and Hamburg. As part of his legal traineeship, he worked at the German Consulate General in Chicago and in the insurance department of a major German shipping company. Mr. Schwerdt initially worked in a medium-sized law firm before joining Ahlers & Vogel in March 2017. Mr. Schwerdt advises our clients in the field of Maritime Law. As a member of the Casualty Response Team, he advises our clients in maritime casualties, such as ship collisions, fire on board incidents and personal injuries. He is also part of the Ahlers & Vogel Yachting Team. Another focus of Mr Schwerdt’s work is (maritime) employment law. He has successfully completed the specialist lawyer course for labour law („Fachanwaltslehrgang für Arbeitsrecht“).
