Philipp Landers

studied law in Hamburg and London after having completed a bank apprenticeship. He worked as an academic assistant at the law faculty of the University of Hamburg and in the credit and foreign departments of a major German bank. He was admitted to the bar in 1995 and became a partner of our firm in 2003. Mr Landers has specialised in national and international Shipping and Transport law, including Marine Insurance Law. Mainly in these fields, but also in maritime Labour Law and Company Law, he regularly advises shipyards, ship owners, charterers and logistics enterprises. He is also broadly experienced in arbitration matters, both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator. Mr Landers is a member of the Legal Committee of the German Shipbuilding and Ocean Industries Association (Verband für Schiffbau und Meerestechnik - VSM). He is a member of the German Association for International Maritime Law (Deutscher Verein für Internationales Seerecht) and the German Association for Transport Law (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Transportrecht e.V.).
