studied law in Hamburg and then completed an additional course in Commercial Law. In 2000, he gained a Masters’ degree (LL.M.) at the University of Cape Town under Prof. John Hare, specialising in Maritime Law and International Trade Law. Mr Harbs has been admitted to the bar since 2003 and advises our clients in particular on all issues relating to Maritime and Marine Insurance Law as well as with respect to the acquisition and financing of ships and aircraft. He became a partner in our firm in 2010.
